While Revolutions has it’s moments, it pales in comparison to the genius of the first film. The final fight in the film looks more like a bland superhero action fight scene from the same era. Revolutions is simply not worth the time and energy. Instead, take time and watch The Animatrix for a much better look into the Matrix lore.

This movie is a complete letdown following the mostly brilliant set up of the second movie. A real stinker, and not worthy of the matrix name. Might be the most dissapointed I've ever been in a movie theater.

The Matrix Revolution is not only one of the most popular movies of 2003 but it is also one of the most polarizing movies of that year! It’s the only year a movie and it’s sequel come out the same year but here’s this! There were plot points that worked in terms of storyline control and then there were points deemed confusing and critical. Still a visual achievement that may or may not conclude the epic franchise. Generally positive reception go to the direction, visuals, acting, and the action.

Disappointing. But as time has passed, I can appreciate it for what it is...even though it falls very short of the first two movies.
