Was this a beautiful movie? yes, definitely yes. Amazing cinematography. Were the actors any good? Again yes, truely an awesome performance from by Brad Pitt. But I thought the story wasn't good enough,... it left me on my hunger in some way.... not a real must see movie imo.

A beautiful meditation of grief and loneliness that is an effective hybrid of 2001: A Space Odyssey and Apocalypse Now.

Despite it's visual grandeur, I found this to be a very boring movie with a nonsensical plot. The story beats all seem completely random, and there is no logic or motivation behind any of the characters' actions. It tries to be 2001, and in a way it succeeds, because that movie didn't make any sense, either, but at least it was groudbreaking. Ad Astra is definitely not.
