Oh Dune! I wanted to rewatch before the new one is released. Not sure how you adapt Dune as a film, but probably not by going down the David Lynch route. It does try for about the first 45 mins but then completely gives up. Honestly if I hadn’t read the book I’d be totally lost. Watch if you are curious to see a young(ish) Patrick Stewart (was he ever really young) or because it is such a rich universe that the film muddles through but stick to the book or hopefully better future adaptations?

Dune is one of the most popular, cult classic, creatively progressive, and fan favorite movies of 1984! An epic ride to a future that is creatively controlled by factions that exemplify the theme of war & battlegrounds! While the source material is presented with clear precision & bought to life for a new re-imagination of the future, the screenwriting still needed more time on the drawing board to really see the direction through. Praise does go to the visuals, score, action, and the acting!!!!
