This film suffers from the cardinal sin; it’s boring. I struggled to figure out why this film was made in terms of story and meaning. It has an uninteresting main character who goes on a journey even less interesting. With this kind of cast and money it’s strange that this got made. Even for streaming it was a struggle to get through.

It’s a well made and acted film, but the story never really takes off. It’s a coming of age film with a lead character whose journey won’t really keep you glued to the screen or rushing out to buy the book. With Ben Affleck on hand, you are reminded of how much better Good Will Hunting was. They should have adapted a book of someone with a more compelling life story.
