Largely a return to form after the embattled 3rd film, but not without its own issues. Sidney is back in a full-time role this time, death scenes are nasty again, and there are some tense encounters. Has one of the best endings of all the sequels. Lighting looks weird, some of the new age dialogue and technology usage are really awkward. Big-name actors are cast in cannon fodder roles. As usual there is a lot of over-the-top acting later on. Rewrites are evident, but overall it holds together.
