The most visually dynamic mcu movie. Does not get the credit that it deserves, it's the movie that I feel take the most chances with the way it's filmed!! Most of the mcu movies a uniform look to them, but this one stands out, in a good way. It has a pretty basic premise, but a solid execution.

Doctor Strange is one of the very best movies of 2016 and a new wave of superhero film that takes visual effects & storytelling to the next level with high stakes & exploring alternate universes. The movie delivers jaw-dropping elevation with balance & the sound intensity strengthens the tone & mood but with great action and laughters! Widespread critical acclaim go to the direction, story, humor, CGI, action, and the performances (particularly Cumberbatch, McAdams, Swinton, Ejiofor, and Wong)!

I'll be honest this movie shown me I don't want to see Strange as a solo character. Every character doesn't need a solo film it's the same reason the Guardians a team up movie. The best part of the film was the dormammu and the CGI. Other than that it was just ok when it came to dialogue and scale. Strange should be the one you implement in the team up films. He's like an Adam Warlock he pops up for the big events.

It has all the elements of a Marvel movie, & borrows the CGI from INCEPTION, but this movie stands out for a couple of reasons. There is a case to be made that marvel movies span all the genres. This, then, would be their spiritual quest film. The discussions of time, fate, future, & inevitability are truly thought provoking, & the final scene with the bad guy is one of the best visual analogies of the cost of the crucifixion that I've seen in a non-religious film. This pairs nicely with MATRIX.

Doctor Strange takes a different approach unlike other MCU movies, with the main character a world class surgeon who is devastated with an accident. He learns from the Ancient One how to give in and excel in the Mystic Arts. Visual production is excellent and superb in this movie, great credits to Benedict Cumberbatch as well playing the main role.
