Look. I know some people who really love the book didn’t like the movie but I thought they did they did a really good job. I thought it was very artistic and Leonardo DiCaprio did an amazing job and it was aesthetically very pleasing, a good time. Although I think Tobey Maguire is one of the most boring people to watch on screen otherwise, great movie.

This mostly faithful, beautifully produced adaptation of the classic novel works best when Baz Luhrmann shows restraint and allows the actors to do their thing. I just wish he did that more.
