It’s impossible for me to criticize this movie. You could call it nostalgia, but it’s more than that. Without Grease, I would not be the same person you’re reading right now. Some movies are too big, too personal. Every song is an all-time great, and the whole film is a judgment-free snapshot of an innocent Americana which may never have existed in real life, but informs our existence to this day.

This may very well be the most overrated musical of all time. Travolta, Newton John, and many of the supporting actors are watchable, but the songs are painful to sit through and the plot is dull in between. I’d rather watch the sequel, personally. It’s not good, but it’s at least more fun.

My all time fave film! Is it cheesy? Yeah. But it’s also fun and has decent storyline and ensures you have a good time from the opening song until the end. Nostalgia , great music, iconic characters and great cinematography. Definitely recommend this to be watched repeatedly!

I loved this movie even though Danny tried being cool in front of his friends, that was so mean. My celebrity crush was young John travolta, but not this version of John because he shaved his head. I loved his hair so much because it looked so good on him. Musical movies are so cool to me so I can watch them multiple times so I can sing along when I know all the words.
