One of the best of the five Tony Scott & Denzel Washington collaborations. First hour focuses on the character relationships & is the strongest. The revenge side of the film is fun to watch, but gets over the top at times. It’s satisfying in the same way as Jack Bauer’s rampages. It might be a little too long for what the story is. I enjoy all the stylistic flourishes, crazy camera work, & random subtitles as well as the soundtrack. This one definitely has some sentimental value for me.
