Does it get any better than this? Probably not. Disney’s masterpiece convinced not only generations of children and adults but also the Oscar Academy that - for the first and only time - nominated the animation flick as best picture. Well deserved!

Beauty and the Beast is one of the most popular and very best movies of 1991 that has ushered in a new era for Disney animation and bringing new life to the screen and telling one of the greatest love stories that gains so much sympathy for such strong emotional and physical expressiveness that’ll have families tearing up in happiness and sadness!! One of the great original musicals of the “new” Disney era of the 80s through today. The loss of Howard Ashman to AIDS, during what should have been the prime of his career is one of the great losses of that era to humanity in general. Menken has never been as good without him.

Hands down, the best movie Disney Animation Studio ever made. Instead of “love at first sight” Belle and Beast’s relationship is given time to grow until they really love and care for each other. The animation is, of course, phenomenal; especially with the character animations. The music is second to none. Not only do I get “Be out Guest” and “Gaston” in my head, but also the score that is played in the background. Everything about this movie is beautiful. And I just can’t get enough of it.
